Helsinki’s Light in Winter

The Valon Voimat is an annual arts festival also known as Forces of Light.  It is held every winter in Helsinki, when the night time is the longest.  The Valon Voimat transforms the city of Helsinki into one giant museum, with the cityscapes transformed into examples of urban art by renowned artists within and outside Finland.

Helsinki’s Celebration of Culture

The Helsinki Festival is an annual celebration of Finland’s music, theatre, dance, cinema, visual arts and culture.  Held every late August to early September, it is a citywide event that includes gallery tours, concerts, culinary events and others.
